Chabad Austin 2013 hosts menorah workshop at Home Depot

Event No. 1 – Chabad Austin hosts a menorah workshop at Home Depot for all the area children.
On Sunday November 24, 2013, it was a deliciously cold and drizzly day (in Austin we embrace both), perfect for a Chanukah workshop at Home Depot.

Baruch holds a example of a fully assembled menorah.

The children and parents start to arrive.

Home Depot provided the material as well as work tables, aprons and some expert advice.

Rabbi Levertov and the Rebbetzin Rochel Levertov, directors of Chabad of Austin.

Everyone was enjoying themselves and seemed very focused on the task.

After the assembly came the opportunity for creative individualization.

The Rebbetzin prepared homemade Latkes for everyone's enjoyment.

The Rabbi gave out dreidels to anyone who asked.

All the children showed tremendous pride in their accomplishments.

The Rabbi wishes to thank everyone for a great turnout.
